Sea Otter Deaths From Shark Bites A Reminder: Adult Great Whites Back
The likely deaths of two mother sea otters from shark bites, and the rescue of their orphaned pups in recent days is a reminder of what researchers have learned from a decade studying adult great white shark behavior:
These top ocean predators return to California’s coastal waters each year at this time.

10 Young Sea Turtles On Exhibit
In early July we placed 10 lively juvenile green sea turtles on exhibit as part of the “Hot Pink Flamingos: Stories of Hope in a Changing Sea” special exhibition. The young sea turtles are just under 9 months old and each is about the size of a dinner plate.
